OCTOBER FOOD DRIVE A GREAT SUCCESS!

THANK YOU, MVUMC, FOR YOUR FOOD DONATIONS

Your generosity filled an entire pickup truck with food! Fresh Beginnings Director Bill Nelson was truly grateful and shared that they’ve already received about 1,500 requests for holiday food boxes this year. Thanks to your kindness, many families will enjoy a Thanksgiving meal who might not have been able to otherwise.

What a wonderful example of our congregation reaching out and sharing God’s love with those in need. Thank you for helping make the season brighter for so many!

RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE – Monday, November 10 from 12 pm–5 pm

The Missions Committee will be hosting our monthly Red Cross Blood Drive in the Fellowship Hall. Sign up online at redcrossblood.org. A donation time will be provided.

THANK YOUAt the September 29 blood drive in Fellowship Hall, 18 people donated and 20 pints of blood were collected—enough to help save up to 60 lives in local hospitals.

Thank you for your continued support. MVUMC has donated more than 500 gallons.

UPCOMING MISSION BUCKS

NOVEMBER MISSION BUCKS will support Connectional Giving -- the part of our annual apportionment paid to the United Methodist Church annual conference. The funds support vital mission projects, both in the U.S. and across the globe. Through these contributions, children orphaned by the impact of war are cared for. Many refugees left homeless by war and poverty receive shelter, food, and spiritual support. Those hearing God's call to ordained ministry are given vital assistance for their education. Around the world, 119 colleges and universities, including 11 historic colleges and seminaries, are supported by much needed prayers and funds. These are only a few of the ministries funded by your contributions.

Thank you in advance for your financial support.

THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING HOMELESS & AT-RISK POPULATIONS IN COSTA MESA & ORANGE COUNTY

OPERATION SANTA CLAUS NOVEMBER 16-DECEMBER 7

Help share the joy of Christmas through Operation Santa Claus, a program coordinated by the Orange County Social Services Agency. This outreach provides gifts and toys to children who are abandoned, neglected, abused, in foster care, or are from disadvantaged families. The program also serves low-income adults who are elderly or severely disabled.

Gift tags will be available in the Narthex beginning November 16. Please bring unwrapped gifts to the Narthex or the church office no later than Sunday, December 7.

Your generosity will help brighten the holidays for the most vulnerable in the community. Thank you for sharing Christ's love this Christmas season!
