Welcome to Mesa Verde United Methodist Church!
Thanks for visiting us online.
We are a caring and accepting family of seekers, believers, and doubters. We are united in knowing we love one another and that God loves us. We welcome everyone—those with questions, those looking for a spiritual home, and those with faith stories to tell. We believe in growing in grace, having fellowship and fun, and in making a difference in the world.

In the Know
New Adult Education Series
Starting April 15, will will began a course on DVD entitled, "Between Cross and Crescent: Jewish Civilization from Mohammed to Spinoza." This course presents an overview of Jewish culture and society from its rabbinic foundations in late antiquity until the dawn of modernity in the 18th century. There are 24 lectures in this series. Bring your coffee or tea and come join us in the Youth Lounge (Admin Building) at 8:30 am each Sunday morning. Attend the entire series or drop in as you can. We'd love to see you there!
Attention High School Seniors
The end of the school year is fast approaching and the Education Commission is looking for high school seniors "who have an active history/membership with our church" to apply for our church sponsored college scholarship. Applications are available in the church office and are due May 13, 2012. Recognition will be given on Youth Sunday in June. Contact Susan Shaw or Barbara Infranca for additional information.
Have You Been Flocked?
This youth work team fund raiser promises to be a blast! Ever wanted to "TP" someone's house but thought you were too old to do that? Well, now you can flock their yard! The youth will place a bunch of tacky plastic flamingos on any church member's lawn June 1 and 2. Your cost is $20. The cost to have them removed? Priceless! Contact Shannon Cavanaugh or Susan Shaw for details!
See a Problem on Campus? Let Us Know!
Does a faucet fail to shut off? Does a door stick or refuse to lock? Is there a stain on one of the carpets? Are light bulbs burned out? Trustees are responsible for campus maintenance, but they don't always see the problem. And catching them on patio after service or at the grocery store not mean they will remember to follow up later. Jot it down on a piece of paper and stick it in the mailbox labeled Trustees in the fellowship hall. The sooner we resolve problems, the less it costs in the long run. Thank you!
Adult Work Team Options
As a result of one of our Dreaming Sunday discussions, we decided we wanted to be more involved in our community. There was a brochure that was distributed at the June 26 worship services. You can get a pdf version of it here.
